Your saddle size should stay the same, because it refers to the seat size not the size of horse it goes on. I would think it would not matter to the horse. To a horse a saddle is a saddle. Now going from a single rig saddle like an english or dressage saddle to a double rig like a roping or a cutting saddle might make your horse question whats going on a little bit, due to the extra cinch but out side of that I dont think it will affect the horse as much as the rider.

Yes it would be the same, the horse probably won’t react differently to the saddle but it’ll feel differently to you since in dressage your legs are longer then in jumping so theres less angle in your knees. The way the saddle is made is if you try to shorten the stirrup length it’ll probably feel weird, it was for me.

When you sit in your saddle, a hand (little finger down thumb up) should fit between the back of your seat and the saddle prior to it curving up. Your knee should fit on the saddle without it being too large nor so small that you have trouble holding you knee back on the saddle.
    Good luck.
