Babies like bright colors. Not black or light pink. You need to think of a color scheme instead of a theme. Since you obviously arent going to go with teddy bears or trucks or zoo animals. Go with a really good pattern design its good for newborns because they can only see things with a really good color contrast. Checker boards and circles. Why would you put a baby in a place that is made to look like a nightmare? I mean really its called "The Nightmare." Be realistic. Nightmare Before Christmas isn’t really a good idea.
ya, no skeletons are no good for a little one. I have a rough and tumble 3 1/2 year old boy and we just watched nightmare before Christmas and it go too scary for him at point. New borns are taking everything in to an insane degree. over stimulating them with too much going on in their surroundings may make them uneasy. try simple soothing colors. lets face it your new little one will have no idea what corporate characters are and they will not care all they want is you. you save the $$$ on decorating to a theme. My #1 piece of advice for new parents is invest in dimmer switches for all your lights. mellow lighting will go a long way for you and your newborn during those 3am feedings or just trying to wind them down at night to go to bed.
Good Luck
i doubt it would give your baby nightmares… as a newborn baby they wont even really see the pictures… just vague outlines,,, and as they age they wil just be used to it
